This has been an interesting time staying inside. I have had some make shift workouts instead of making it to the gym my typical five times per week, not to mention I am not going to work... the same as many of you reading this.
Being with family has been nice, and comforting. It allows me to be creative and know that there are people around to fall back on. You see, I live in LA but my family is in Toronto so I am here riding the wave.
The absolute hardest part of this ordeal is being so close to my nieces and not being able to see them as often as I would like, hug them, kiss them, play with them. But we adapt. I blow bubbles for them on facetime (thank God for facetime), I read books to them over the phone and I have been able to see them each twice for a walk outdoors.
Instead of spending my time questioning what will happen next with humanity, I try to focus on what am I going to do to prepare for when the world returns to some sort of normalcy.
Keep Pushing Forward.
Those are words I have lived by for a very long time. I often whisper to myself "keep going" when I am in the thick of a difficult workout, a challenging life position, or if I am scared of certain next steps.
To my nieces, Harleigh & Mara, and to every other person out there... Keep pushing forward. We all need to find ways to make this work now, and once we start getting a better understanding of what will happen next.
I don't let what people tell me dictate the kind of life I will live. I create it based on my own rules. I hope everyone keeps their hopes, dreams, and deepest desires close to their hearts and front of mind.
